One hour of sunlight could power the world for a year

In roughly one hour, the Earth’s surface soaks up about as much energy from the sun as every person on the planet uses in a whole year. We capture a tiny sliver of it. That gap is the entire reason solar has so much room to grow: the fuel is absurdly abundant and it shows up for free every morning.
